Chris Trumbauer received an A+ rating from the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the League of Conservation Voters, the only elected official to be rated so highly.
On hearing of the honor, Chris said, "I'm very pleased to be endorsed today by the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the League of Conservation Voters. Clean air, clean water and healthy communities are important to all residents, and I am proud of the work we have done on the County Council to reduce polluted runoff, restrict harmful pesticides and reject sprawl development."

Anne Arundel County Councilman Chris Trumbauer was endorsed by the Metropolitan Baltimore Council AFL-CIO Unions in a statement by Ernie Grecco, President. Two local AFSCME unions which represent Anne Arundel County employees also made the following statements of endorsement:

The Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County, which represents Anne Arundel County Public Schools teachers, has endorsed Democratic incumbent Chris Trumbauer for County Council District 6.
“Chris Trumbauer has been a champion for our educators throughout his first term. Clearly, Chris understands the issues that matter to teachers and parents, and is a strong supporter of the county’s education system. County residents are fortunate to have Chris Trumbauer on the County Council”, said President Richard Benfer.
Through his work in the budget process, Councilman Trumbauer has supported hiring additional teachers to reduce class size and was instrumental in getting the strategic school construction priority list back on track.
